
Yu-Meng Yang is a Paris-based filmmaker working across directing, screenwriting and production.
Born in Guiyang, a city located in Southwesten China. Before starting filmmaking career, she gained a BA in Chinese Language and Literature in Minzu University of China (MUC). She finished her one-year filmmaking program in Czech Republic (Prague Film School) and a master in filmmaking in 3iS (Elancourt, France).
Blending experimental cinematic language with perspectives from philosophy, psychology and mythology, her works unfold as contemporary fables about relationships and power dynamics in modern life, constantly exploring how modern people shape their perception of reality through everything inside themselves (memories, desire, emotion, projection, etc).
